CNY-WXFREAK
KBUF Metro gets in on the action the next few hrs so lets see how the band and the meso behave. I hope it drops a nice swath right across the city!
wolfie09
The euro nailed the band not making it far onshore with this last event, if u remember I said it was the “euro being the euro” but it was mostly correct..
CNY-WXFREAK
Yes I remember brutha! Anyone who says the EURO is a bad model, in any way, hasn't got a clue behind the physics of that model which is so far advanced than our NWP garbage, its not even funny! BuffaloWeather
Scratch that 3” per hour
BuffaloWeather
There has to be 3-5" per hour rates over the water right now in that meso. Not sure if it makes it all the way onshore.
tim123
Euro is very good for synoptic. Most likely the best. but for mesoscale no. Its a global model.
tim123
Awsome image. Looks like a warm front in that yellow returns. Lol

wolfie09
Euro is about 7 days of lake effect snow showers S/SE of Ontario, then a synoptic system approaches from the SW at the end of the run, then we warm lol
BuffaloWeather
4" of new snow in last hour. Unreal

CNY-WXFREAK
Man this is an exciting Clipper, lol! I will say this. We've been extremely unlucky with the storm track as of late, because almost every damn Clipper system, has traversed the area to our friggin north, and if by chance they would have been to our South, the whole area from the So. Tier up through the North Country would be way above normal, snowfall wise, but No, as they had to pass either directly over us or to the North of us, just like the one now! rochesterdave
The models always figure the bands too far SW. Always.
rochesterdave
Honestly, Buf was ridiculous in hoisting warnings for Monroe 36 hrs in advance of a nuanced event. Roc has been nickel and dimed all winter. On paper it looks ok. Trust me it's been rough. Not as rough as Fulton. And Tim, I love ya bro, but you gotta stop model hugging. You're gonna give Wfreak an aneurysm.
swva
Very light snow falling this morning and temperature is a balmy 6 degrees! Not snowing hard enough to accumulate much but at least it’s not sunny.. Hoping for some kind of snow surprise the next couple days to redeem this trip. It’s not modeled so would take some unexpected love from Lake Ontario :).
CNY-WXFREAK
Thanks for sayin it, lol, cause I just can't anymore. I can seriously care less but according to him, KROC is the snowiest place east of the rockies, lol! Like I already said though, his posting is well appreciated and it livens up the board. I think you have a shot at seeing something later this afternoon evening, although it may be brief, but a band may form to your North and move South quickly, and settle across Wayne-Cayuga and So, Onondaga later thios evening and through the overnight hours, so we'll see at this is all speculation obviously! rochesterdave
See this LP placement? This is very bad for south shore. This is very good for Buf ski country.

rochesterdave
The models are printing out a max of 3" in far NE Monroe county. This is funny. And now BUF is gonna insist on sitting on a warning they shoulda never raised.
