CNY-WXFREAK
What a shame cause if the flow wasn't non-existent, this band could of gotten a bit stronger, before it skidaddles out of here. Some nice convergence right along the South shore of the entire lake, with a nice connection to GB!
wolfie09
Going to be interesting to see what Oswego comes in with, several people are claiming “feet” of snow..
wolfie09
Hrrr nailed that heavy band to my NE, showed 3/4” liquid for Oswego ..
CNY-WXFREAK
Was hoping it would of stuck around a bit longer as its over already, lol! A dusting, after waiting 4 hrs for it to finally start snowing. I'm glad I went to sleep, cause I would be even more annoyed, if I waited all that time to only see it move really really quick out of the area. What a shame, really! CNY_WX
I just woke up to a few puny flakes coming down. My deck isn't even covered! I can't believe Channel 9 is still forecasting 4-8 inches in my area today.
wolfie09
Good couple inches in the last hr, airport reporting heavy snow 1/4 mile vis
CNY-WXFREAK
Yeah, I don't know what these local stations around here are looking at unless their expecting some sort of flare up this morning but I don't see any disturbances up stream to enhance whats already falling. There is some nice snow falling up along the lake shore in Oswego, Fair Haven, Scriba, and Minetto thats for sure. Man if the flow was a bit stronger to get the heavier returns a bit further inland we'd get in on the action but its stops just to my west, and I mean a couple miles at best as I'm only 7 mies from Fulton and Wolfie is reporting S+. Revracer800
I'm in Hannibal and dumping snow right now. Started about 45 minutes ago. Flake size is fairly small. Temp is 7 brrrrr.
CNY-WXFREAK
Yeah, like you said, it doesn't take much for it to accumulate in this kind of cold that for sure. If a few tenths of an inch falls, you got yourself 6"!

wolfie09
How do u think I feel, I live 5 miles from Oswego (town) and 9-10(city) lol Last yr minetto picked up over 40” and Fulton had 12”-16”, comes with the territory..
wolfie09
Oswego definitely took it on the chin, couldn’t believe the amount of snow on top of the cars going through town on 481..
CNY-WXFREAK
From a infrared satellite standpoint, winds look like their better aligned out of the WNW headed towards NW, but clouds are at least making it to me with ease, and further East now. How are the flakes by you wolfie?
CNY-WXFREAK
Absolutely Brutal!!

So people aren't even taking the time to clear the snow from the roofs of their cars? That is very dangerous, I would stay clear of them if you can. Don’t feel like leaving the house for work this morning. Did you read the AFD from KBUF? The week of cold rivals some of the most historic cold snaps in the last 70 years!!! Also the lake is 34 and they stated if the lake freezes by the 31st it will be the first time in 17 years that has happened by that date! So this sucks for alot of reasons. CNY-WXFREAK
It can still snow in KBUF and all along the shore of Lake Erie even when it's iced over. Obviously not as intense but I believe it still receives LES, or am I wrong? Ontario never freezes over so we don;t have that problem.
BuffaloWeather
I’d rather have no snow then this cold. As much as I love snow I hate cold just as much.
CNY-WXFREAK
There's some intense squalls that are about to hit the shores of Cayuga County as the clouds have a convective look to them, nice. Wish there was someone from Oswego who posted on here but no dice. There used to be quite a few from Oswego State but I guess no more.
CNY-WXFREAK
Yeah, cold is rough, especially the older you are, lol. I still would rather live here than in FL but that's just me. I can't even imagine spending Christmas in 75-80F weather. No thanks.
wolfie09
Still receiving a light steady snow, every once in a while some bigger flakes try to mix in.. Noticed a little band popped up to the north, those same returns dumped 1.5” in a little over an hr..
