dryslot
Quite the front end thump of snow to ice on the 0z GFS for CNE/NNE on Friday night into Saturday morning, Verbatim looks to be 4-6" before the changeover to RN.

WinterWolf
Really would love to come to a get together, but 3.5 hours of driving(round trip) on a work night is tough to do. Maybe next time we could have it a lil closer for us central/western peeps?? Springfield??
MarkO
UGE improvements on this GFS run. Keeps NNE mostly frozen (by the time the back side comes through it's almost dryslotting), then a 3rd wave/coastal. Could be talking 12-18" for some mountain areas. mahk_webstah
WPC has (actually has had for a couple days) pretty high probs for more than .25" frozen qpf for the 22nd and the 25th for areas above the NH MA border. Looks like we have a net gainer by Christmas with a lot of cold air coming in.

Yes, and overnight the WPC was leaning towards the faster solutions (getting the initial cold front to the coast faster), although they said xmas day could be rain i I95 due to arctic front remaining west. Certainly has gotten better looking since the severe melts 2 days ago.
moneypitmike
CMC is a Christmas disaster for SNE. Mild morning--34.0. Thus ends our extended freezing streak. Fresh snow and 21.1* at Pit 2. You can guess where I'd rather be....
