I meant the big cold that is being modeled..that's what I meant when I said it's coming. And as the 12z modeling is showing, it is indeed coming..just does it get here in time for the 25th??? WinterWolf
I’m not a fan of big cold without snow either...hopefully we get some cracks at something while the cold is around.? Get the cold first and hopefully the snow comes following.

The gradient pattern screwed us this time around...it happens. A little different order of shortwaves and later this week could have been prolific, but that's the way it goes and the risk of the positive NAO with a deep -EPO. Not just you guys but it looks like we are getting that warmth up here too.

MarkO
GFS looking better than yesterday. Less amped, more progressive with saturday system. Stays nearly all frozen in northern Maine. The ULL generally passes over the St. Lawrence into central Maine, much father southeast of previous runs. Any more trending and NNE is ballgame for accumulations. And my point is this cold had snow 5-6 days beforehand but the snap didn’t come with snow in or out. There was a system that was progged on the front end but it farted. Needle threader, IDK but maybe it's just me but 9/10 a strong cutter going up the St lawrence tends to drag the thermal boundary offshore with all that heavy cold pulled south. I don't think this is over by any means
