Had a nice squall that quickly blanketed everything, including roads. Probably close to a half inch at this point. I know this event was supposed to be something more significant earlier in the week, but given the expectations heading into tonight, I have to say I'm quite pleased. Nice little event. And crankyweather is hinting that the storm may be tracking more south than expected. 3-hour pressure change the basis for that opinion, I'm sure. Funny how snow seems to show up on that radar as soon as you cross into the MD border. Would love to understand the dynamics that cause this. Does the moisture that is ripped apart in the mountains just need more time to come together again? I think the downsloping with clippers can affect the leeward side of the mountains whereas coastals tend to like those same areas more due to the added lift. Could also be partially due to radar angles as well. I could be wrong though.
HighStakes
Steady snow. Solid coating.
lpaschall
Nice coating in Westminster. Side roads caving quickly with light coating. Yard and sidewalk covered
Scraff
About 45 mins ago when I needed to get on here, obviously the site was down. It was straight mod to heavy though. Everything white in 10 mins. Still light right now. Easy 1/2 inch. Honestly this looks better visually than the last weekend snow since everything caved real quick. Jebwalking with the kid was fun too.
cae
Wow, that came down faster than I thought it would. It quickly coated everything and is still snowing moderately.

AfewUniversesBelowNormal
Dry snow. This is the pattern. Trough between Hawaii and Alaska. why I like Stratospheric warmings, they always have this. Notice NAO isn't positive.

NorthArlington101
Hmmmm... this could bode well for the Northern areas. Still hoping for a surprise IMBY. Seeing graupel earlier was a nice wintery treat.
Vice-Regent
Nearly Snow++ here. Night-time clipper tho kind of meh. On the flipside, it's warmer than the previous daily high by 1 degree currently.
osfan24
To me, it looks like the possible farther south trajectory would possibly help out anyone up in far northern MD and just over the MD/PA line. Probably won't help us in Central MD but you never know.

Bob Chill
Rgem made the others meso's look dumb. Scored a trace and every flake stuck instantly. Now we need Friday to do something so we can have 3 days of snow in 1 week.

Maestrobjwa
Seem to have about a half inch here (and still falling) in Balt city (or at least enough for the anti-lock breaks to engage a few times!). This one kinda caught me by surprise--but a very nice surprise! Nothing better than driving home from a winter concert with winter weather...perfect! Fozz
I didn’t think it would snow tonight, so this is a really nice surprise. Coming down pretty hard. Almost 0.75”. And unlike the other day, this is accumulating everywhere.
