They gave up quick between Towson and Roland Park area in last 30 minutes.

Yeah.  I was just out driving.  Most roads are covered, and drivers are moving cautiously.  Schools would be getting out around now.  Good call Baltimore County.

The snow Wednesday night was beautiful. Everything stuck immediately, the flakes were dry and fluffy. We probably picked up about 0.5 inches here. I'm so far liking the look of this one. This has easily been the best week for snow since the Blizzard. Also rates have really picked up again. The grass is nearly covered so I'd guess we have 0.5-0.8 inches here so far.

RWIS temp sensors have roads getting down to the 25 - 28 degree range in Baltimoreland...starting to get to that dicey range where traditional rock salt doesn't work as well.

There's no better sound in the winter, than that desperate, frantic sound of tires frantically spinning in the ice and snow as another hapless commuter tries to get to work on time, and fails. I love that sound so much! I wish to g-d that I could download it off of iTunes!

Still not good dendrites, but at least it’s real snowflakes now. Mostly plates and needles. Couple more hours of this should get us 1”

I just need this mess cleared up by 7:45 or so. Last Jedi over at Snowden man! Can’t wait. Anyway—love to get some better lift for our flakes.  Doesn’t seem to be in the cards.

Yikes!

That ain't pretty. Really do feel bad for those people. But this is one of those days you just don't go to work. Unplanned last minute storms, roads not treated, hitting during rush hour. All it takes is a half an inch

Roads were treated
