Herb@MAWS
First time today IMBY where it looks like real, steady snow -- at least for the moment. Temp has slipped to 26.8 after peaking at 28.4.

Cobalt
Light-moderate snow here in McLean. Looks more like snow than snow pellets/graupel. Bigger flakes
Skywalker03
Car topper here in NE DC near Union Station; light snow continuing. Will never complain about watching snow (of any quality) fall in mid-December.
Superstorm
Nice steady snow in Perryville, MD. Rates picking up..

Eskimo Joe
Best lift appears to be outside the snow growth region south of I-70 which is probably why so many of us are getting just pellets/grains/rimming. Baltimore/Carroll/Harford counties probably are the jackpot zone for this one.
AfewUniversesBelowNormal
Was expecting it to be dry snow event. These day to day changes, how it warms up in the sun, are extreme!
WxUSAF
Coming down fairly heavily for the last 10 minutes. All snowed grains at first but now some real flakes mix again. Probably able to collect 1/10 at least now

Eskimo Joe
Sad this system is so progressive and developed right over us...otherwise it would've been a fun 1" - 2" for most. Snow around Christmas of any variety is alright in my book no matter the amount.
NorthArlington101
LWX was right on with their WWAForecasted me 1-2", gonna need some better rates. Not sure if the coastal will take over more, but that's what I'm holding out for, probably stupidly. Light snow grains, things dusted.
cae
This is starting to look like the inverse of the bands that set up last Saturday.

Fozz
Coming down at a decent rate. Roads aren't too bad, but like Wednesday night and last weekend, this is more than I expected. In fact this is the best start to winter around here since the amazing December 2013.

ErinInTheSky
Roads look super sick and the car windshields are encased in ice. Rimed flakes and freezing rain abounds.
gymengineer
It looks much better outside the window than the radar would imply here in Silver Spring. Sidewalks nicely covered.
MetalCapsFan
Was a mixed bag of precip for an hour or so, but straight small flake snow now here in Remington/Baltimore City. Side streets are covered. 27/21 currently, dew point has risen a few degrees in the past hour
Jebman
Steady very very very very very light snow in Dale City. A few sidewalks white. Streets just wet. Most of the snow will be found............................................wait for it..................... in northeastern Maryland. The snow climo there is much much better. Southeastern Pennsylvania is getting annihilated with 3 inches of snow. Delaware is next.
Eskimo Joe
Solid flakage right now in Reisterstown...transitioned to real snowflakes over the past 10 min. Now we're accumulating.
BlizzardNole
Still light graupel and 27. Everything coated except main roads. Radar looks good NE of Baltimore.
NorthArlington101
It's transitioned to at least 50% legit snowflakes but the rates are probably 1"/week. Pretty out though.
