Yeah, snow growth should be decent to but the winds might break up the dendrites. What are we looking at 13:1 ratios?

sferic
This can cause a 2 hour delay for Long Island schools since the timing seems to be just right.
Ericjcrash
Lack of interest is kind of strange. Should be 2" for most

Yeah that’s what I told my gf who works at a elementary school. It’s not going to take much moisture for this to be pretty impactful. Ground temps are nice and cold for once so everything will stick. Should be 2" for most Sometimes the under-hyped little events are just as good as their big brothers. We didn't spend nights anguishing over model fluctuations on this one, and if it just covers the ground no one has reason to be disappointed. The last storm was somewhat disappointing here so hopefully this can make up for it since we should have a little more moisture to work with on the shore. sferic
At least everything will be covered white on the streets and sidewalks this time on Long Island. Two inches will be nice, no complaints; if there is 3 even nicer.

sferic
I think this system will over-perform, for NYC too. Radar looks good. The WWA for Saturday on LI was a joke; this time it is more warranted. Should start within next 2 hours too, enjoy.
