Classic Montgomery County setup. It's why I chose to live in MoCo instead of one of the eastern burbs. Glad it's paying off

Glad it's paying off You chose the good part of Montgomery...once you get below Rockville it's naso good for snow and you bust frequently in marginal setups. This is very true. I'm on the NE side of Rockville away from the UHI stuff but just a few miles up the rd in Olney they usually do better. I'm not in the ideal MoCo location but it's definitely not the worst.

NorthArlington101
I'm about to sneak into heavier returns. Would love to see the bands sneak just a wee bit more east. Car-top measuring station is at 1.4", which means I've picked up a measly .3" in the last 2 hours. Need something more substantial.

Stormpc
I'm stuck at around .7". Haven't experienced any sustained snow since it started. I think Mattie is on the same trajectory as I am directly to my NE.

Yeah the immediate dc area really hasn’t gotten into any bands today. It would be nice if we could get in one before it’s over.
George BM
Don't know whether it's just me or that my standards have changed but the snowfall has seemed very light all day with the heaviest being "fairly light" under that snow band in Herndon, VA. So I was surprised to go out and measure about 2.6" of snow already.

WxUSAF
Must have been coming down decently while I napped...ha. Kids footprints outside from earlier are mostly covered.
