stormtracker
Thanks, I will. Especially since it is going to snow for another 5-7 hoursCool. I like wet pavement and .01 inch an hour rates just as much as anybody. Maybe it’ll pickup and we score .10/hr during those times? .
87storms
Probably about 2-2.5” here in Germantown. Little more than I thought there’d be.

mattie g
It’s been a bit underwhelming in eastern Fairfax County so far. Hoping some of the late-afternoon/evening stuff makes up for the relatively low totals around here.
ErinInTheSky
Radar looks like it is filling in more now. Rates outside have improved too. Anyone else noticing?
PWC Split
Just a bit over two inches. If we can get 1 more inch we will verify the forecast for Western PWC..
WxUSAF
BWI reports 0.9" officially at the top of last hour. I have a bit over 1" now, so I feel pretty good at getting 2". 3" would be hard, but not infeasible if I get in on a band for ~2 hours.
KingJWx
Around 1 inch, rates have gotten lighter in the past 10 minutes.

We need that juicy Miller A with HP to the north...second might be a bowling ball clipper...third perhaps an over running scenario with copious moisture. This set up with screaming jet stream and multiple LPs not so much for us. There will be others hopefully. It's the MA so every flake is a gift. It looks like there isn't much more to come but this was fun. Yeah a bit of an odd setup. I missed everything last night to my southeast. Today the best stuff has mostly been to my west lol. Models did not do well with qpf here, thats for sure. Temps are actually colder. Its been 31 ever since the snow started.

Cobalt
DCA reported 0.5" as of 1 PM. I think DC has the potential to hit 1" of snow though. First measurable snow for them since Dec 2013. How can people be disappointed with this?

Since 04-05, I've had 11 accumulating events in first half of December and 12/5/07 is the only one 4"+. It's never easy in the city this time of year. 87storms
After doing some hiking aside from roads wet this is a decent event in the mountains of Germantown. Don’t have a ruler but eyeballing 2-3” on trees, foliage etc and it’s basically sticking to all surfaces that are cold enough. Good snowball snow too. Eh, this passes the test for me. It did feel like it’s dropped a degree or two and roads are really close to caving (parking lots with low traffic that is). 2 more degrees drop and it’s gonna be slick.
