snjókoma
Its a shame we don't have more users from Prince George's county. Some of those areas are getting 2"/hr rates under that narrow band. Lake-effect-esque.
WxUSAF
Rates and flakes were better in sykesville than back home. Shocker. Probably 3/4” in Carroll county and about 1/2” on cars and deck here.

SoCoWx
Raining and sleeting in Richmond. No idea what the temperature is, I’m feeling confident that we’re going to bust on the low side of things. Good thing winter only just started.
Fozz
I'm not that jealous. Even the traffic cams in Carroll county only show a dusting, at least so far.
Bob Chill
The next 3-4 hours should have the best snow growth. It will still pulse but there should start being an increase in "fatty" reports incoming.
WinterWxLuvr
Virtually nothing out here. Nice winter day though. I had no expectations as I thought we were just too far west. I hope all of you guys to the east enjoy your day.
fourseasons
Snowing at a good clip here at Route 1 and the Beltway in Alexandria, but it only began to stick to the grass in the last hour.

We were getting shafted all morning with nothing more than pixie dust and now it's dumping. Everything is finally turning white. Wouldn't say 2" per hour though... PWC Split
Best rates and largest flakes of the day. Grass has completely disappeared but the roads are seeing no accumulation at all..
midatlanticweather
We have definitely seen flakes increase in size last 30 minutes. Beautiful!
BlizzardNole
Light/mod snow with good sized flakes and 32 degrees. Solid 1" on everything except streets and sidewalks.
mappy
Carroll county posters should do well under that band .
Bob Chill
It's just shocking that the best band is setting up along the leesburg/Mt airy/Westminster line. It really is like clockwork with 90% of events.
ers-wxman1
Light snow in Ashburn. 3/4 to 1 inch. 31F.
Jebman
Guesstimate quarter inch on grass. Roofs are white, nice car toppings. We had some picturesque white rain for a while, but this band is SHWEET! 32 degrees. Best snow of the storm so far. Turned out it was money sleeping between 530am and now. RVAman
Heavy rain mixing with some sleet in Richmond. Safe to say unless cold air from the west is pushed in, we are probably done for. It was fun. Maybe more next time around.
Ltrain
33 with some moderate snow here in my part of AA county.
Deck Pic
32/29 -SN, maybe 0.3" One thing some of the models got wrong was surface temps...pretty much all of immediate DC metro is 30-32...even DCA was 33 last OB....The idea that we were going to be 35 all day has not come to fruition. As the upper level support to your west rotates through I'd be pretty suprised if it wasnt all snow. No idea if it will be accum snow but the soundings down there are all snow west of RIC and only borderline over the city.

Truth. All guidance tended colder leading into to onset so they were a little late but didn't miss it. Guidance has busted to warm a lot over the last couple weeks but we only pay close attention when snow is involved. Lol
