Sugar is already open and they get good snow. I’ve seen many times no snow just a couple miles up the road. But it’s treacherous leaving there if your vehicle isn’t made for it. Been stuck before. It’s all uphill after leaving the resort.

WarmNose
Snowing in Easley per TWC radar. Although, I don't trust what I see on radar after January's event. Showed MBY snow blue for 12 hours while I sat and watched the rain
GreensboroWx
Light snow/sleet in downtown Winston-Salem.... Things are lining up for quite a bit of QPF...not sure if even the roads can sustain that much frozen precip, esp overnight into Saturday

Mello
Been steadily snowing for hours in Smyrna just NW of ATL. Gone from a pellet like snow/ice mix to pretty fluffy snowflakes now. It's sticking to cars, roofs, and grass now. Roads still look good.

broken024
So if 850s and 925s are 0-1 but ground is 39 does it rain or snow?
Powerball
Now getting mostly fatties mixed with some sleet in Newnan. Until now, it was mainly a rain / sleet mix. EDIT: This is a good sign for those upstream and those on the north side of Atlanta who were concerned about mixing issues.
audioguy3107
Pretty interesting, per the SPC mesoanalysis Page, the 925 and 850 lines have pushed fairly well south and east of the metro Atlanta area as the morning has worn on. That in and of itself is shocking with this type of setup.....that line usually stays north of this area in this type of storm.

Gastonwxman
Greetings, everyone. Hope you all have been doing well, lately. To think, we're tracking a winter event this early in the season...I'm pretty surprised, but hey. That's how it is here across the Southeast, right haha? Anyway... We've currently got a bit of rain with some sleet mixing here in Gastonia. Sitting at 39°. And for whoever is wondering, the 925mb temps continue to sag south...0° line is now cutting through Gaston county.
DC2Winston
In lighter returns, we are back to just light rain/drizzle here. I suspect this will be order of the daylight hours. Back/forth, no accumulation until after dark.
