NAM leading the way with precip-type issues has me nervous for coastal folks. It's often the first to sniff it out in my experience.

Per winter SOP it looks like ORH is situated perfectly for whatever happens lol.  What a location for synoptic storms.

You are golden where you are. Snow is an absolute lock. The NAM can get amped happy too.

East slope of the hills there does tend to benefit both from huggers and SE specials....I'm liking my new digs for this one specifically....400 feet elev about 18 miles E of ORH.

That is also true. I get triggered so hard whenever I see NAM leading the way with the rain/snow line shift after losing 12" of snow inside 24 hours back in January 2017.

I wouldn't cut precip amounts on the NAM this time around, that system is very amped up in the Gulf of Mexico, especially if that southern shortwave phases into the arctic jet, we will have a lot of fun the next five days

NAM always has a couple overamped runs in there somewhere...so you obv take with a grain of salt...esp still 48 hours out. But it wouldn't be shocking if we got it this amped in reality.
