The Iceman
The GFS is now the SE outlier and even it shows at least an inch in extreme se pa. If it doesn't tick back by 00z, then it should pretty much be a lock. This one is going to be a nowcasting event.
RedSky
Something happened to the Grinch Euro today, his heart swelled to 10x it's size and wants to snow again in five days
Ralph Wiggum
Canadian too a significant shift W with accum snows into extreme SE PA. Looks like a 2-4" deal on Canadian. Thats a unanimous 12z shift. Gonna check the CRAS for kicks and giggles.....
Ralph Wiggum
CRAS is extreme but even so made a significant jump W to join the masses:
Ralph Wiggum
For fun, here are a few of the more robust EPS solutions (sorry in advance for the graphics-intensive post). There are actually several more members that have the 4" line into SE PA. Only a few give nothing in SE PA for comparison:
The Iceman
this coming back from the dead and becoming a wsw event would be one of the greatest storm comebacks of all time. i'm happy to get any accumluating snow though. Just an inch will make everything look great for the holidays. If this ends up being 2 to 4 then that is a great surprise storm for the start to winter. 6 inches and I would never b**ch about being screwed for the rest of winter
Ralph Wiggum
NAM is 993mb East of DelMarVa. Wow. Really solid run!
Ralph Wiggum
NAM incredibly close to a full phase and going negative tilt while trying to close off at 500mb. Nice trend continues. Even gets what looks like deformation banding into part of the area.
Newman
NAM continues the trend west. I'd like to say I knew this trend west was going to happen because didn't we all after last years 1/7/17 event with similar synoptics? I just didn't want to go against the Euro, but ever since the upgrade....

Voyager
What would be the time frame for the festivities? I'm catching a flight out of ABE at 6:30am on Sunday morning going to PHL arriving at 7:10am. From there I have a departing flight at 8:10am heading out to PHX. Will the falling snow be out of the area by then, or might I have some problems?

Ralph Wiggum
GFS ticked West again and upped snowfall. General 1-3"/2-4" event SE PA. Definitely looking like more than just flurries at this point. Probably WWA stuff at the very least.

My biggest worry is getting to ABE on the ground end of the trip. Not expecting much up this way, but as we all know, it only takes a coating to make for a nightmare commute. Especially overnight on a weekend.
