I must be blind. I see a 58 up on the St Lawrence river along the border. Maybe we're looking at different maps

Lol, look right above Ryan Maue's name at the very very top of the graphic.

The max is actually Redfield, Over 310" on the year. Look up Carol Yerdons twitter account, she's been official spotter there for quite awhile. Places south of my area are over 200" as well in ski country.  (Perrysburg NY) I'm at 119" here in Hamburg.

Pretty amazing to get that much snow in one season.

That map is pretty accurate for my area. 32.7" here and I see a 32" marker just to my east on that map.

Yeah but I'm under that 32" but have 26.3".  That said, when I first saw that map in the NE branch there were a good number who said it was pretty accurate for their area.

It would be pretty funny if the latest euro verified with all the winter is over talk

I wonder if anyone is taking the Euro and Canadian seriously for this weekend - Euro has a MECS - nobody even discussing it here

so far NYC has five days with a maximum 19 or lower with the lowest max of 13 in early Jan...winters not over but seeing days with a max in the teens is probably over...five days is the most since 1981-82 tying 1993-94...the low max of 13 is the lowest since 1993-94...last year had none and the lowest max was 23...the years with the highest lowest max since 1948 are...

Last March had one of the coldest snowiest ten day period since 1950...

This is good as it gets in March for a ten day period...1960 was the best of the lot...1956 was second and 1967 third...1993 and 1958 round out my top five...

hurts, doesn't it?

Not really. If it has record-breaking potential, I'm all for it. Just amused by all the folks who committed to no snowfall the rest of the month trying to save face by loudly carrying on about how quickly it'll melt. I don't think anyone has any delusions about whatever comes of this weekend's threat being the beginning of a months-long permafrost.

Damn, and I was going to be a big raise at work if we can keep whatever snowfalls through next week...

It's the same people over and over again mentioning winter is over or it's gonna melt in a couple days. I'm just looking forward to CIK62 and his prediction of above normal temps in march of 2021

I don't think we will either. A while back I said it would take a remarkable turnaround for me to get to average snowfall and people criticized me for it. Well, I'm still waiting.....mid Feb is here and today I walked outside without a coat for an hour at lunch and no hat...and I'm bald. So this weekend will hopefully deliver because banking on March snow in my neck of the woods is dicey. And for the record, I'm a closet snow weenie....

Dulles average was always several inches less than NYC.  There was an MA poster years ago who liked to make that comparison; his numbers were something like 21 at IAD and 22 at NYC.  He cherry picked his years.

Dulles is not in WDC it is in NW Virginia, 32 miles WNW of WDC at a higher elevation.

To use Dulles snow totals to represent WDC averages is like using the averages in NW New Jersey to represent NYC.

I wasn't disagreeing.  just pointing out that it still averages less snowfall than Central Park.
