RIC Airport
The LR continues to look very active. I'm seeing three additional opportunities on the GFS.

feb11th1983
51 degrees in Powhatan right now. That doesn't mean it won't snow but it doesn't have me optimistic.
RVASnowLover
Yeah it’s quite warm and nice outside. Would not guess that it’s suppose to snow tonight. The ground is warm. Only thing can really beat that is having heavy rates

Sernest14
46 in Ashland - about 2 degrees colder than NAM had us at this point. Hopefully a good sign to allow more snow than rain
RVASnowLover
3K NAM was better. Gives Richmond around 3. At 12z it gave us rain and very little snow, if any

wasnow215
Interesting trends on the short term models. It wasn’t until recently that we were seeing the models show rain to snow to rain back to snow again. Nam is showing that and so is the HRRR. And they hang onto the snow a little longer. Could help.

The short range models have been trending a little colder and hanging onto the cold air a little longer. Well see if they’re right

wasnow215
We obviously are concerned about temperatures and should be. But a few interesting notes regarding what’s happening in places that weren’t supposed to get frozen precip. Here’s one from the triad in North Carolina. Notice it says they are “expanding the winter weather advisory”.
