RIC Airport
RIC tied a record low this morning, hitting 38°F. This is the first May since 1984 featuring three or more days with lows below 40°F.

We'll see. 00Z 3K NAM is not as bullish showing only 3" for RVA. The heaviest stuff being near the bay.
RVASnowLover
Decent band coming through RVA now. Tornado warnings happening down in HR. One warning now in Norfolk
eaglesin2011
The most severe part of the storm is hitting the area now till about 8am in this area.. pouring buckets of rain at the moment . A few quick tornadoes popping up now just south and east of the Richmond area. Wouldn't doubt that a warning pops up in this area in the next hour or two. Thing is hauling at 28mph Winds 40ish around Norfolk area. Flash flooding more of an issue in most of this area

The wind so far has not been bad
eaglesin2011
Looks like here in the Richmond area things already starting to wind down just looks like a little more of steady rain in this area. The severe weather looks to have moved more away from this area. Havent really got any decent wind gust yet will be interesting to see if we are too far from the center to get anything of anything of significance.

I think so... seems a little breezier now, but not windy.
wasnow215
Also shows you just how unreliable the euro gust feature really is. Not even close. At least so far.

Rhino16
More rain coming to the area. There’s been a storm near Highland Springs that hasn’t moved in awhile, looks to have heavy rain. Wonder how much it has rained over there.

RIC Airport
Bottomed out at 46°F officially at RIC this morning. This is the coldest September reading there since 2003. AKQ is going with 43°F at the airport Tuesday morning, and if achieved, that would be the coldest September temperature since 2001 when it reached 43°F on 9/26/2001. The monthly record low is 35°F set on 9/24/1974. The last time RIC reached the 30s in September was in 1983.
