Sernest14
HRRR gets us 2-3" for Thursday - hopefully that pans out. Still have the GFS and Euro with the 4-7" for weekend- here's to hoping that doesn't go away with 12Zs

RVASnowLover
Wow! GFS was huge step backwards. We don’t get anything Saturday. Even SE VA gets only about an inch or two
Sernest14
Oof - SEVA gets shafted with 12Z GFS. Gone by 12Z Saturday with less 1-2" from 12Z Friday - 12Z Saturday (2-4" overall)

eaglesin2011
Let's see what happens with this first system .. Looking a little better & stronger for this area at the moment .. I have a feeling once it clears we will know better what exactly will happen with the weekend system. The trend is definitely southeast right now for the weekend system, but let's wait till the first system clears before we throw in the towel completely...
RVASnowLover
It’s a very complex setup so maybe the models just don’t know how to handle both systems
Sernest14
GEPS still gives us .2 liquid for weekend storm which would be 2-4" with ratios.

I saw some of the people from ch12 retweeting some verification scores that had the GFS taking quite a dip recently. So, I’m guessing they have low confidence in the GFS at the moment. Everyone knows DT likes the euro though.
eaglesin2011
I'm not looking at any of the models personally until whatever happens with this first front... Maybe nothing will change, but to me it's not worth getting all worked until we are under 48 hours out...Like with most systems around here, allot has to line up almost perfectly to get a big snow storm around here unfortunately.

It hasn’t been the most accurate here with snow totals but it’s had the right idea
