Coming down pretty good. Getting close to 2 inches. Nice band Greensburg through Downtown.

north pgh
Back to the models...Bands on radar currently across Alleg Co do not show up on HRRR or NAM models. It is nowcast time and it is going to snow for the next 12 hours. 1/2 inch per hour rates would give us 6 inches. Could be interesting tomorrow morning. I will be up early. A very, very, very measly 1.75" here in Oakmont. The snow that's coming down is ultra-fine. It seems like even though it's coming down at a nice clip, the flakes are so tiny that it's not amounting to anything.
RitualOfTheTrout
I must have missed most of the good banding overnight, woke up to maybe an inch. By the time I got to work near West Mifflin there is at least 2-3 inches on the ground, not sure how much of that is from yesterdays first wave though as t here was close to an inch on the ground when I left yesterday afternoon. RitualOfTheTrout
Looks like the best rates are up in Butler county and over towards Youngstown but they are starting to fill in to the South per radar.
RitualOfTheTrout
Time sensitive, but just look at the gyre spinning, pretty easy to identify where the low is. Look at that moisture stream coming off the Atlantic moving East to West over most of PA. Right now that band looks a little further North than I anticipated, but hopefully it will drift slowly South. Wouldn't mind if that low got stuck there for a few days lol https://radar.weather.gov/Conus/full_loop.php

CoraopolisWx
H5 low oriented nicely to keep things going for awhile. 850 jet providing decent moisture stream also. I think 6-10” total is attainable for much of the metro. I had about 4-5” on the grass this morning around 7am.
KPITSnow
I probably have close to 6 inches. Big surprise honestly.
cwc
The 2d storm was about 2 hours later in getting going than progged. Had it come in on time, our totals would be spectacular. I had an inch between 6:30 and 7:30 AM.

blackngoldrules
I think I woke up to about 3 or 4 inches this morning. The banding seem to set up perfectly for me overnight. When I get home later I'll measure what I end up with. This is probably easily going to be my biggest snow of the season.....and it's spring. Go figure.Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
