Hi-res models did show a little dip in the winds there. Yeah well modeled. Winds actually picked up again. Weird storm

moneypitmike
Looks like we had our wind between 1ish and 2:45 then it really just died. Was cranking pretty good--I'm showing a high of only 32mph though. I'll need to see if my console records something higher than gets recorded in the data refreshes to the web. moneypitmike
The fact that Kevin's not posting suggests to me he's one of the 24% in Tolland in the dark. Only 3% of the Western Mass is without power. CMP now closing on 58K
Sugarloaf1989
Absolutely flat calm outside, not a breath of wind. Amazing after what we had earlier this evening. Really loud too with a full orchestra of summertime bugs.

BOX has kept GC with a HWW for today. My thought that the best winds out here would be here today may well be the case. Also, the wind has come to life a little since the two hour lull and has backed to the WSW.

OceanStWx
Our CWA is ballpark 290k without power. That's nearly 15% of our population alone and this is just customers reported out, and chances are it is under reported too.

Stuff down everywhere. Never would've thought most up in VT would gust higher than ORH or the SNE ASOS. Knew downslope would be big but it's more widespread than I thought.
