the_other_guy
Observing nearly full green folliage around the city with hints of color. With no prolonged cold air in the forecast, is there a documented date for latest peak color around the city? Sometime in late 2000s we peaked in second week of Nov... which was latest I have ever seen. Surely, this will pass that
doncat
Ive been keeping weather records for 40 years, but foliage dates I don't have...I wish I did. it would be interesting to compare. Going by memory I used to use Halloween as a reference point... Around these parts by then about 50% or so of the leaves would be down or significantly changed. It has been later in recent years with the warmer falls.

Stormlover74
Peak colors just 25 miles west of the city. I think peak is a week or so behind schedule but not like 2007 where we still had decent foliage on thanksgiving
the_other_guy
You are correct about interior colors. Difference in those 25 miles is great though with the UHI exacerbating things. We are going into the 40s every night with this warm week. City is much warmer at night.
