StormChazer
Surprisingly quiet for the ice event that is beginning to unfold. OKC has got it bad right now. Tulsa will be next at this rate(29 and drizzling). I work in South Tulsa and the foliage, metal bars, etc outside are covered in that layer of ice now.
lokee
Okc metro ranges from low 20's in the Western part of the metro to mid 20's in the East metro and upper 20's in the South metro.
lokee
More drizzle forming out west of Okc. This was the area that was hit hard this morning with the freezing drizzle appox. 3 hours from drive time home as well and most of the Okc metro are in the lower 20's for air temp. ouamber
Just went to lunch. Car windows and trees are covered in ice. 27 in Tulsa now. Just absolutely disgusting day! I'm so ready for snow!
JoMo
Interesting to see Wichita mention 3-6" of snow possible due to the Arctic air this weekend.
NwWhiteOut
Advisory up until 6am lol. Temp is falling fairly quick but will it go below freezing, or will it get to that 33 degree magic number line again and hold like its been doing all winter!! Weatherdemon
Models now warming things up too much Sunday with the most precip. Another good snow turning into cold rain, a glaze of ice, and a few flakes of snow.

Winter storms are a fainting memory. Smdh

ouamber
This weekend storm better start trending colder! I'm not having another 33 and cold rain event! Nope...not gonna happen!
NwWhiteOut
Speaking of 33, lol...that's where we dropped to since earlier and are holding with off and on drizzle.
NwWhiteOut
Well the roads are ok but there is a smidge of ice on everything else. Sounds like the once weekend snow into tuesday(or whatever the forecast previously shown lol) is just a memory now! Meh lets end this nonsense and be on to spring already. Weatherdemon
Significant QPF differences between US and Euro models for the late weekend system. Over .5 inch.

I’d rather lose 56-3 than 56-0.

Not holding my breath but maybe just maybe the jinx can be broken. It will probably dump here this weekend as I will be out of town lol.
StormChazer
I've definitely been seeing this as our last shot this winter. The models have trended cooler and more qpf...so here's to hoping.
StormChazer
Euro is coming in colder.
StormChazer
This is Fri nighy/Sat morning timeframe, the more the cold air pushes in, the slower it will retreat which means a quicker onset of frozen precip Sat Night. OLD NEW Closer up.

StormChazer
I don’t need a foot of snow. I want a foot, but I don’t need it. What I do need is a solid 3 inches, 4 if I can be so bold to ask.

StormChazer
If we embrace the 10:1 ratio, that's 4 inches of snow potential in Tulsa on top of the ~2 inches the euro drops. If we can just get half of that freezing rain to verify as snow, then we've got an easy 4 inches on this model. But, half an inch of ice would equally be pretty awful for roads and powerlines/trees.
