Wettest month since September 2015 when Blacksburg broke its all-time daily record. The weather station on Mt. Mitchell is reporting 15.71" month to date, which is high, even for Mt. Mitchell. Yeah we have been blitzed here in the mountains. I mean most of us have seen 10 inches this month alone. Most are running 15 plus inches above normal in the mountains. Yeah a lot of us had 2 to 3 inches just from yesterdays rainfall. Seems like every time we have gotten rainfall this month it is by inches and not tenths. We have had a lot of low lying flooding and in some places the river has crested above there banks here in the mountains recently.
