doncat
Last two days here with 77/71 and 75/70 temps...Those 70 lows are the latest 70 degree mins for my station..Still some rain around with 0.62" totals. Just came home from supermarket and the humidity smacks you in the face when walking out.

nzucker
76/74 at LGA, just brutal here in the Bronx, and no sign of any real change on the horizon beyond normal seasonal cooling. I have used my air conditioning more in September/October than all of summer.
Drz1111
77 here in the south Bronx. And we're all schvitzing. Unprecedented weather for this time of year. Feels like a nice midsummer ballgame.
SnoSki14
I can deal with warm weather but dews in the mid 70s on Oct 9/10 is ridiculous, I don't remember it feeling this muggy all summer.
Cfa
Insanely small diurnal temp range here these past 53 hours. Temp hasn’t been above 72.5 or below 70.7 during this time.

CIK62
We are about to complete a 30 day period at +8 degs. (9/13-10/12) Since +7degs. seems to be the limit in the Sept./Oct. period, I have to assume if this period had a name it would go down as the warmest month ever at this time of the year. 96% of 30 day periods during a year of course have no name, and are not recorded as separate entities. Incredible torch after such a cool finish to August and the start of September. Bone dry too which of course has helped that 30 day +8 departure. NJwx85
Loved the late August feel today, although the leaves starting to change and the earlier Sunsets do put a damper on the otherwise Summery appeal. After a brief cool down the next few days, we should be back near 80 by the weekend followed by another brief cool down and then wash, rinse, repeat. No meaningful rain for the foreseeable future either. Some areas might see a little rain tomorrow night but the otherwise stormy pattern advertised about a week ago has all but vanished. We cannot even deliver a meaningful rainstorm with tropical remnants riding a potent frontal boundary.

CIK62
I remember blogging in late Sept. that the GFS had a +10degs. for the first 10 days of Oct. Didn't Oct. 1990 kick off with mostly temps. in the 80's. Could you post that data if I am correct. ( I may have wrong year).
