Hoosier
PWK hit 96. Barring a last minute bump, looks like a repeat of yesterday with 95 at MDW and 94 at ORD.
Chicago Storm
The high at ORD of 94 today broke the record for the date of 93 (1956). MDW topped out at 95. Ninja'd

WxMatt21
Meanwhile in Fort Wayne...broke a 109 year old record! I must say, this pattern is gross, but the bitterly cold days of winter are upon us and I'll be wishing for warmth again soon enough.
Stebo
Mount Pleasant hit 96 today, that's pretty damn incredible.
cyclone77
MLI made 93, short of the record of 95. May have given that a run if it weren't for the heavy rains Wed night. Record for tomorrow is 91, so a new record looks likely. Made it to 92 here today.
rainsucks
What would be the reason for PWK being two degrees warmer than ORD today despite being farther north?
Powerball
It looks like DTW's going to go out in style this time with the string of 89*F highs.
Chicago Storm
What would be the reason for PWK being two degrees warmer than ORD today despite being farther north? It tends to run a bit warmer there on some of the hotter days. Saw it in 2012 too, more often.

Stebo
92 at Pellston is pretty incredible especially considering the proximity to water there, same with 93 at Alpena.

michsnowfreak
87 in the Soo is crazy but I gotta go with 95 in Traverse City as the shock value. That's crazy. DTWs hottest temp of the year was 92 on June 12-13. It's weird to see the Lower peninsula enveloped in 90s while the far East side, including the Detroit heat island, stayed upper 80s. Hoosier
Low of 72 at ORD should hold up and break the record min of 71 from 1891.
