Jonger
The 2m temps we were debating 7 days ago for today, panned out. I'm just outside Gaylord and it's 69F. Loving it.

Yeah it is a useful index for measuring moisture as it is a measure of the entire atmospheric column.
weatherbo
Storm total so far 1.38 with another .25-.50 before it's done. Temp was 47 at 9pm last night and has been rising since... Currently 62. It's warm, but autumn like anyway with the dark clouds, gusty wind, and vivid color. Not minding the warmth at all right now, but in a few weeks when climo says snow can start sticking around, I might not be as understanding. hawkeye_wx
0.91" here the last two days... not what we initially expected, but ok. The weekly total is 1.61". The grass is greening up again. Some indication of some slowdown later tonight but my guess would be the faster it moves, the more likely it would be to see a westward nudge in the track after it's inland. Motion has indeed slowed a bit, now 20 mph.
harrisale
Midnight and it's 73 here. Can't remember that ever happening in October. With a 60 dew point it feels like 80. Cold front should be moving through in the next few hours but still looks like a great week ahead.

Hoosier
It's early but boy, this month looks like it could end up being a pretty warm one. The first week was +10.2 at ORD and it's not like we are looking at major sustained below average temps.

Chinook
Previously tropical storm Nate has brought about 1" - 1.5" to most of southern and central Ohio. The moderate rain appears to be ongoing for a few hours now near Cleveland.
osubrett2
It definitely doesn't feel like October outside. Between the storms late Saturday and rain from Nate yesterday/early this morning, I picked up 2.15" IMBY. Temps have been rising overnight and its terribly muggy outside. 71/71 at 6am. hawkeye_wx
It's looking pretty good for more soaking rainfall across the dry western part of the subforum over the next week... first on Tuesday, then again this weekend. The grass has already sprung back to life, big time. Tuesday is going to be the coldest of the season so far around here.... 50s, rainy, windy.
