cyclone77
26 in the point for tonight. Will be the first freeze/hard freeze of the season. Actually don't think there's been any frost yet either. Just gotta get this ankle biting cloud deck out of here at some point. Ridge axis timing looks perfect. weatherbo
Snow fell heavy at times today with a high of 33. Missed out on the bigger totals, as I was in the dry slot overnight but just west of here had 6-10" in places.

hawkeye_wx
Our temp took a dive as soon as the cloud deck moved off to the east this evening. The airport was already 27 at 9pm. The yard is already frosted.

Still a relatively balmy 34 here under the remaining low-level cloud deck. The western edge of the cloud deck is almost here though so we should see temps plummet over the next hour or so. The airport is 22 now... about 25 here. The garden is toast. I'm keeping four pots of flowers alive in the garage, but I won't be able to bring them out until it warms above freezing. I hope my two hummingbirds can discover the feeders.

Chicago Storm
Clouds held on long enough to prevent a freeze across much of the LOT CWA. ORD bottomed out at a season low of 34.
weatherbo
Most models forecasting another round of decent snows here in the higher terrain. Very well looks like this could be the start of the winter snowpack for the next 6 months... or more

SchaumburgStormer
Clouds hung around and kept me at 30, as oppose to mid-20’s. As I was on a traffic detail for a 10k this morning, I was fine with the few extra degrees of warmth
weatherbo
37 for a high today and a little snow melt but not much. I think Autumn is over (on the far east end of the 8"+ totals). Best Fall ever. Record warmth transitioning right into snow climo. Through Halloween at 8pm.

Really hoping for those Alberta Clippers with lake enhancement...or a low that stalls over Lake Superior and ushers in cold air on a west wind. Verbatim, NAM for tomorrow into Tues would likely be warning level snows for a lot of WMI. Western 2/3 of the UP's gonna stack some flakes for sure.
