BretWx
Perhaps a basic question, but can someone provide their favorite radar links for storms like this? Appreciate it.
strongwxnc
Fighting the warm layer here. Had a good bout of snow mixed in for about 30 mins. With light returns not so much. However, the layer is making progress..

Tyler Penland
Coming down at a solid pace here now with just over 1" already. Beautiful snow. Any untreated roads (i.e. any that aren't main) are treacherous right now, though. Went out and tried to access the parkway and was sliding everywhere in my Crosstrek. Brand new tires, too. -_-
Silas Lang
Moisture feed into WNC is looking stout and healthy downstream. What an over performer thus far! Holy cow, to think the fun has just begun. Power outages seem imminent as snow is very wet. You can hear it fall.
AirNelson39
Can’t believe how this event has been downplayed by most Mets even for us. Ray’ Weather didn’t mention more than flurries until 6pm last night and didn’t even put a map out until everything was already white and road accidents this morning. Wow. BretWx
Yeah, the radar is looking very healthy. I hope we can hang onto the good moisture through the afternoon into tonight.
BooneWX
I have friends here at app state having to desperately search for rides to class (first day of exams) because the university refuses to give in. Side roads are a mess and in some cases, main roads are as well. Hope nobody pays the price for that call.

Avery County is doing a very poor job right now.

SnoJoe
What's the protocol for a warning in the mountains? I'm still under an advisory and now have about 3 inches.
