That looked awfully suspicious to me. Even look like he got caught from a little inflo jet. I would need to see that again. Also those quick little spin apps happen more often than not in some hurricanes. It is not even tied to mesos.  Just so much shear.

It's really hard to tell if that was a little gustnado whirlwind in the video or not.  I rewatched it several times and although the moisture in the air sure looks like a swirl, I never saw the trees or debris move in a swirling motion.

I think it was straight line winds.  Maybe someone can slow it down and get a better view.  There could have been a swirl but I can't see it.  Really cool video in any case.
