Hopefully the surge flooding in Biscayne Bay isn't too bad, but from what I'm seeing it's getting pretty high. And another west nudge will put Naples/Ft Myers in the east eyewall too. That's always been the thing with this storm. It's huge by tropical standards and the strongest winds throughout its life cycle have been on the NE side as the pressure differential is larger there. Did Miami dodge a bullet winds wise, absolutely but the surge there is still going to beat Andrew.

bdgwx
Irma clocked in with 80 TJ of kinetic energy at 15Z. It's not as powerful as Katrina, Sandy, or Isabel, but it's still a beast.

ROOSTA
Roosta man-cave has three computers running with 5 browsers open on each. Trying to get as much info and data before getting sucked into this black-hole (loss of power) of a b**ch. Surprised still connected. Expecting this will be the most severe event experienced in my life. By this evening should have a dozen or so people holed up. //// The quick-hitting EF0 tornado's are starting in earnest. Many damage reports as the outermost spiral moves in.
NCBK
Getting word from a friend that evacuated Key West. He has contact with someone that stayed. He said all the boats that were anchored in the harbor are gone. Not piled on shore...either sunk, or blown away...just gone. 800+ boats, some 170' +...gone. Wow. dan11295
The pressure grading throughout Florida is crazy, they just had a 41 mph gust at Panama City, close to sustained TS Force in Tampa area.

bobbutts
Running up the right side of the 12z guidance. Extrapolating that puts it right over downtown Ft. Myers.
Hoosier
I'm not sure how Naples misses the eastern eyewall at this point. Still have that slight west of North motion.
