MN Transplant
Temperature is good today, but it is sticky. Didn't take long to work up a sweat.
Stormpc
Yeah. Kind of a nasty day. Got .15 overnight/early morning. That added to the mugginess. Give me back my 60s/40s. A few 'Hot' ones ahead, but I don't see anything other than low-mid 80s for the next few weeks. That's fine with cool nights.
EastCoast NPZ
Well, Irma has somehow managed to be even a bigger dud than Harvey. Days of forecasted cloudiness and showers has resulted in about 3 hours of daytime cloudiness and .05" of overnight rain which left absolutely no trace here this morning. There wasn't a cloud in the sky here this evening. Not one.
dailylurker
I'm looking forward to the beautiful early fall weather starting this weekend. Looks like a solid week of severe clear weather. Damp and funky outside

Jebman
We are getting the remnants of Irma now, but I am too far south for heavy rain. All i will get is occasional drizzle and a few drops of light rain. Maryland and Pennsylvania will get heavy rain thru tomorrow night.

We sowed some seed last week which is usually a formula for dry wx, so we're happy with what we got.

EastCoast NPZ
Brow sweating in the sun, the neighborhood abuzz with the sound of AC condensers humming in the morning, and staring at a 10-day heatwave... Ah, fall in the mid-Atlantic.
EastCoast NPZ
Less than 2" of rain last month, and on-pace for 1.5" this month. After mid-80s this week and 90F next weekend, there will be nothing but brown.

Of course it really starts slowing this time of year. Leaves start coming into play by Oct. Can't rake 2 acres.
Stormpc
Had 6 of the driest weeks from mid May thru June. During that time my lawn went in mowed for 3 and a 1/2 weeks and all of the new grass that was grown since last fall died and the weeds took over. Since then it's been a mudfest. mitchnick
Northerly/northwesterly breeze all day and it's still 74 degrees at 9pm. Gotta love MA falls. Yes, I know, not technically fall until the weekend, but close enough.

In past years when we've had early color it was from drought, but this year there's been plenty of rain, so I figured it was all the cool weather we had in mid August and especially early September. But since then, it's warmed up and put the brakes on the colors. Probably time for a fall foliage thread anyway.

mattie g
Mid- to upper-80s is perfectly doable in mid- to late-September, in my opinion. I'd prefer is a little cooler, but this warmth is fairly dry and pleasant. I'm down with it.
CAPE
Yesterday was a tad warm and felt humid to me. Not complaining though, given we haven't sniffed a 90 for weeks, at least that I can recall.

Shouldn't have to worry about 7+ days straight of mid-upper 80s this time of year. Just terrible. But, I knew when we were basking in upper 60s 2 weeks ago that we were going to pay dearly for it.
