The problem with 2024 is its early in the day I think and also during a time of year we or upstate NY often have bad weather.  In addition that NE-SW path gives you only a small area to be sure you see it if a large scale system is located over the Lakes Or Midwest

No it's not lol, it's later than this one, the peak is around 3:30 pm

Indeed it is.  This is frustrating about the narrow path of the moon.  Think in the future humanity might be able to generate our own artificial total eclipses for all to see? ;-)

This was about what I got too. Though there was a lady passing around filmstrip which we could view the actual eclipse safely - made it look like a beautiful sunset. (Btw, I'm down in Brooklyn atm)
