Front has definitely passed my location. Feels great! Temps in the low 80s, breezy, and low humidity.

NEAR TERM /THROUGH TONIGHT/...
As of 1000 AM Saturday...

The latest sfc analysis this morning shows the sfc cold front now
located roughly along the I-85 corridor and progressing SE, with nw
flow and drying in its wake. Latest guidance suggests the front will
slow down its eastward progression along or just east of I-95,
southeast toward the Sandhills area. Behind the front, the risk for
showers/tstms the rest of today will be nil given the drying behind
the front. However along and just ahead of the front, we still can`t
rule out a few widely scattered showers/tstms this afternoon, mostly
across our far s/se zones. Otherwise, highs today still on track to
climb to the mid to upper 80s.

Tonight, another break from the typical August humidity as weak high
pressure settles overhead. Mostly clear skies with lows in the 60s
expected, with some 50s in the north-central Piedmont (typically
cooler areas).

Today's 50% became 20%. Tonight's 40% is now 20%. Someone about 4 miles to the NE is getting all 20% right now.

I just got a 1" with the heavy showers ( no T&L ) that formed to my south and moved north. Probably end up closer to 1.2" since its still raining pretty decent and should for another 10-15 mins.

AFD Sunday afternoon:

If you`re a fan of dry, sunny weather, this is not going to be the
week for you. There will be above normal chances for convection each
day, with cloudy skies dominating through the week and into the
weekend.

Monday morning:

Wed/Wed Night:
00Z guidance suggests the front will stall
along/south of the NC/SC border, with a dry/stable airmass in place
over much of central NC, particularly the Northern Piedmont. With
the above in mind, expect below normal temperatures with dry
conditions aside from a small chance for showers in far southern
portions of central NC.

Another front pushing further South than originally expected.

Got another 1" last night with the storms around 3-4am, also quite a bit of wind lots of large branches and other leaf type litter all over the roads on my way home from work this morning. My gauge is currently sitting at 3" all of which has fallen between Sunday night at 7 pm and now. Radar looks promising for more....
