Eskimo Joe
This seems to be zipping along pretty quickly. Upstream radars don't look too inspiring for DC and Baltimore proper.

North Balti Zen
This ended up being really boring up this way. Just light steady rain, really. Anything heavier stayed south.
Eskimo Joe
Don't see how the flash flood watch lasts longer than 4-5 pm. Radar is bone dry west of 95.

They'll probably cancel once this last line is through. I didn't check, but I assume the FF guidance was really low in places. 1.56" and starting to wind down. Afternoon LWX disco says not so fast HRRR/RAP have backed off on convective development this afternoon. However, with breaks in the cloud cover, 500-1000 J/kg of CAPE along and south of the stalled boundary (central Virginia/southern Maryland), sufficient shear and backed flow in vicinity of the track of the low...would not want to downplay convective potential this afternoon. Light radar echoes evident stretching all the way back into Tennessee...and in the current environment, additional development can erupt. Still suspect it will...as supported by NAM/GFS. Don`t quite buy their areal coverage, but like the idea that there will be more showers/thunderstorms (scattered to perhaps numerous coverage) this afternoon into early evening. And with precipitable water still around 2 inches, heavy rain still possible as well. Will be holding onto the Flash Flood Watch until its clear that the threat has ended. H2O
So apparently I just missed driving through the tornado that hit Salisbury this afternoon
BlizzardNole
We drove back from OC today and were in the torrential rain on 50 around Cambridge and Easton. I told my wife "watch us have a couple tenths of an inch at home." And there you go - 0.3 and we're done here. LOL back in form here in the central MD rain hole. But MAN that was some heavy rain over there. Yikes with that Salisbury tornado - the eastern shore has been getting picked on recently!

Cant say I can recall 2 confirmed tornadoes occurring in a 2 week span on the eastern shore since I have lived here. Pretty rare stuff for the area. I think in both cases the warnings came late.
