Flash Flood Warning
National Weather Service Baltimore MD/Washington DC
240 PM EDT WED AUG 2 2017

The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  East central Baltimore County in northern Maryland...

* Until 545 PM EDT

* At 239 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the area. Up to three inches of rain have already
  fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that may experience flooding include...
  Carney, Perry Hall, Kingsville, Pleasant Hills, Glen Arm, Fork,
  Baldwin, Long Green, Upper Falls and Hydes.

It was enough of a show to keep the kids interested for a while...usually it's just crazy dad out in yard solo looking up at the sky...lol

Sounded like WWIII last night around midnight.  Almost a half inch in the rain gauge from that storm.  .69" last 24hr.  First week of Aug and the yard is still lush

It's been incredibly comfortable, if not cool, for the end of July in the obx. Coolest weather ever for all the years i've been coming down here in fact. Leaving tomorrow to low 80's over the weekend back home I see. If we're going to have a lousy winter, a comfortable summer is a welcome consolation prize in my book.

Makes sense. It seems like every time I look at radar there's something blowing up over that area. Really crazy.

Edit: Just looked, and they've got more storms and inches of rain on tap tomorrow and Saturday.
