NorthArlington101
Rain is overflowing up the sides as it runs down the gutter on my hill. Madness. The sewer grate in the street is overflowing. Water is coming out of the sides and being launched in the air.

This is a solid tropical downpour and radar is underestimating the ground totals. There's the FFW.

NorthArlington101
I have a storm total of 1.53". Radar thinks I am at ~0.9". Yikes, and I'm in the dark blue. Who knows what I've got. Need to get a gauge.

There are three PWSs in the vicinity of the golf course, ranging from 1.6" to 2.0". So, the radar estimates may be a bit better there.

Eskimo Joe
Marty Bass is the worst on air met I've ever seen. This isn't even remotely true. No flood watch, it's a flash flood warning. No wonder why people have a bad impression of this field:
North Balti Zen
Marty Bass is indeed terrible at his job. Truly. Also, it is flat pouring in downtown Baltimore.

The DC market is pretty mehtasitc, but Doug K is okay during a big event.

Clearly...it's like when WBAL uses the RPM or AWR model for snow in the winter. Bottom of the barrel 'talent' there.

I actually only really watch WBAL. I find ABC2 and WJZ news just terrible in general. I like Tommy T and Ava. Collins used to be ok but I feel like he's washed up now and not on very often anyway. CAPE
Why would anyone here waste one second of time watching an on air "met". Marty Bass...ugh what a colossal embarrassment. Hard to believe he is still around.

mattie g
Picked up about 0.25" in Burke yesterday per CoCoRaHS. On the VRE ride home yesterday, I noticed that the creeks in central Fairfax County were all flowing incredibly high due to the heavy rains just upstream. North Balti Zen
The tiniest of tiny storms has popped up over my neighborhood apparently and is absolutely pouring according to my family - hard enough the satellite is out until it passes. Checked radar and it is indeed a very very localized heavy shower. Weird.

Stormpc
Was in Stephens City proper, today. I can report it was MUCH drier than most areas in Va I have been through the past week. Even my yard is still wet-ish from recent rains. I think that Big mountain in the distance that stand out south toward Front Royal robs the moisture. Who knows. Ha!!! Epz Land is a desert.
