The Texas A&M Arkansas game was a good one even though I came up on the losing end. I’ve got USC/ Cal on one TV with Mich/Pur on the other. hudsonvalley21
Another toasty day, had a high of 89. Lawn is beginning to brown out. Have 1.96 in the bucket for the month so far. Can't wait for the cool down in the next few days.

I had seeded some areas right after Labor Day and then the rain stopped. It’s my fault.

Juliancolton
Yep, raw out there today. I know nothing should surprise me anymore but it's quite a shock going from a bona fide heat wave to heated steering wheel wx over the course of a few days
Juliancolton
34.1F and still falling as I leave for the week's first sunrise hike. Probably won't break the freezing mark but it may be close; I'd feel more confident if sunrise were delayed another 30-60 minutes. We wait and see. Juliancolton
Low was 32.4F almost at the same moment as the official sunrise time. It had dropped a full degree in the 15 minutes prior so if sunrise were 7:00 instead of 6:53, I likely would have been able to claim my first subfreezing of the season. A game of inches... IrishRob17
My heavy leaf drop of a couple of weeks ago has let up quite a bit over the past week or so and I'm finally starting to notice some color slowing showing up.
gravitylover
There's some good color on the ground in the woods but nothing special on the trees. As much as I don't want TS force winds we really need the water it would bring. It's scary dry out there.
