Yeah, let's get it over with and let this mediocre foliage season die with a little dignity. It's like when your pack is 40 days old in March, glacial in some spots and ripe in others, riddled with pine needles and snow fleas... just kill it. Can't wait to see the waterfalls back in action tomorrow. Also getting a little breezy out of the south, but nothing noteworthy yet. 0.61 in the bucket so far. Just a few winds around 10 mph now. Lets get this thing done so I can do a final run through the property with the lawn mower and chop up all the leaves and sticks and put her to bed for the winter. Heh, that's when I shovel the piles into one big one out by the street so it melts into the street not the driveway.

Juliancolton
I've now had my first gust that roared instead of merely whooshing. Just sitting back, watching the WS, and keeping my phone topped up at 100% in anticipation of what's probably to come.

Albany tweeted that they expect winds to intensify still. Not sure it'll be by much, but yeah, it's breezy. No power issues so far except one brief flicker about an hour ago. The storm notwithstanding, this WS game is probably the most epic baseball game I've ever watched.

gravitylover
3.7" with light/moderate rain falling, 43* W/NW @ 8-10 with gusts in the low 20's. There's a disappointingly large amount of leaves still on the trees, not so much on the trees that were showing color pre-storm but the green ones are still fully loaded. The power must have flickered because the microwave clock reset to 0. Cool storm but other than a bunch of rain it didn't live up to the hype. West Point, NY
Midnight here was about an hour worth of Sandy redux. Large trees snapping outside my window and the uncomfortable feeling the next snap could be on the house.

Yeah the trees that are still green almost look like they did during the Summer lol. Unfortunately anything with color took a big hit.
