Typhoon Tip Posted September 14, 2017 Share Posted September 14, 2017 Looks to me like Jose's track is being guided almost entirely (if not so..) by the curvilinear course of lesser resistance that circumvents the west Atlantic subtropical ridging.. Not because of any kind of tough capture -type scenario that is typically/traditionally thought of as how these things ever get this far up the coast.
