87storms
it's hot out, but it's not really that bad all things considered. it can be worse here. upper 90s are when it becomes pretty intolerable. this is pretty tolerable in stretches.

It's not the temperature today that's causing all the misery . It's dew points in the upper 70s which are pretty rare for this area .

I try not to complain about the weather but the lack of thunderstorms region-wide over the past few summers is pitiful. Glad you got the storm early this morning. We made a trip to Senexa Lake this week, and on the drive home yesterday northern and central PA were getting pummeled. I'd take half of the rain that we saw on the drive home yesterday and be very happy!

osfan24
Looks pretty good for at least some rain and maybe some typical summer boomers. Towers really going up everywhere and radar starting to really light up and fill in, though it looks like north of Mason Dixon line will yet again prosper. Eskimo Joe
Wow, did DC just spike to 97?! Leesburg also reporting 95/77 too but that's an AWOS I believe and may run a bit high.

vastateofmind
I had a reading of 100 on the sensor IMBY, just after 12:30 p.m. which is interesting, as we typically run a degree or two or three BELOW whatever DCA is reporting. Back down to 96 with DP continuing to hover in low 70s right now....couple towers bloomed overhead and nearby in past hour.

MN Transplant
Got to 96.5, so that makes it the hottest day of the week at home. Looks like DCA got a little outflow from that cell that went poof over the southern Beltway, so they are back down to the 93 range.

BlizzardNole
LOL spoke too soon. I had such a nice looking t-storm inbound that I though no way it misses me. WRONG. It split in two an I have missed out again except for that 5-minute shower that was probably 0.10. I sucks having a garden hobby living in a micro-climate desert.
