I was so tempted to post this in obs, but I'll play by the rules...

Are these red skies at night the result of NASA's "chemtrail" experiment last week or have impatient locales been adding their own aerosols to our great American air? :P

Junior Swim Team practice was cancelled this morning (starts at 8:30 am) because of the rain, which the pool told parents "is forecast to continue through this afternoon." Unless radar fills in, that was a bad call.

Bitching because my daughter has loved the first two days of Junior Swim and she was so excited about this morning when going to bed last night. :(

Issued a Flash Flood Watch until 6 PM this evening as we are
expecting multiple rounds of precipitation to occur over the
same areas. This first batch is ongoing and will set the stage
for a greater potential of flash flooding later this morning
into the afternoon as thunderstorms redevelop over the same
area.

Luckily, pools don't flash flood, particularly in 30 minutes of swim time.

Looks like it was a good call though. The radar filled in and home is getting trained right now - has been for some time. I say they got lucky...
