Summer peaked already. We may have another couple of days in the low 90's as that war tries to build up but I doubt we see anything more significant than earlier this month and during the June heatwave!

142 days to winter!

This would be a good vacation week at the beach.  Last week meh.   Never know what you are going to get when you book these 6 months out.

Lol this is gonna be my attitude throughout winter. This subforum holds onto winter for dear life, halfway through spring.

Picture perfect summer weather today. B)

Today is a great Summer day, something that's been hard to come by this season.  Looking forward to August and hopefully a lot more days like this one.

Ewr 89, probably sneak out 1 more 90 degree day for the month

with a low of 64 and a high of 90 the mean would be 77 keeping Newarks average temperature 77.3 for the month...this is a departure of -0.7 from the 1981-2010 average monthly temperature...

1 89 on Jul 11 (close but no cigar) and 2 88's.  The 5 days last week were super impressive below normal departures, Saturdays clouds sealed the deal. Still felt much warmer than 2014.

Those were some impressively cool temperatures for 7-24 to 7-30. It was actually in the top 10 coolest and the coolest ending to July since 2000.

I thought Newark records go back to the 1930's?...are those NYC numbers?...

It looks like it goes back to 1893 on XMACIS now. I guess there was a local Newark site before the airport.

I had ISP : / +1.1 / 2.11 (pcp)

Assuming my normal average temp is the same as islip, which I doubt, I am also at + 1.1 for July. Looks like my average was identical with islip a even though I had more 90 degree days. I guess  the overnight lows evened it out, as I had multiple nights in the 50s further inland
