bluewave
While the sample size was small, this was the coolest July at LGA following a 100 degree or warmer temperature in June. The other 2 Julys at LGA averaged around 80 degrees. This was also the first time that LGA had 4 days in a row under 80 during July following a June 100. So the lack of follow up heat this July was a bit of an anomaly compared to the past. June 2017....101...July...78.4.....4 days in a row below 80 June 2008....100...July...80.0.....2 days in a row below 80 June 1952.....101..July...80.3.....1 day below

It's unusual when you can save on winter heating and summer cooling bills in the same year. This looks like the first time since the 97-98 winter and 98 summer. Warm winter and cooler cooler summer couplets are a rarity around here.

Yeah, very windy at the coast. Air is dry and it certainly doesn't feel like beach weather.

Most of these weekends going back to mid April had at least some measurable rainfall around the area. Looks like we may keep the streak going for next weekend with a slow frontal passage.
