lol...I can hear the thunder from your direction. Sounds like you're getting a better portion of the line than I did!

Yep....just now, got nailed again. It reminds me of the air shows at WGNAS w/the Blue Angels....thunderous. Good stuff going on...

Looks like the storm was a little strong here than I first thought -- there's a pretty large tree limb down between my neighbor's and me. There was a really strong gust when the storm first hit, I thought it was in the 35mph range, but it must have been higher than that. Nothing got damaged, that's all I care about.

I'd have to go back and check, but it seems we've had a run of nice 4th of Julys in recent years -- no severe outbreaks or extreme heat, just seasonal temps and maybe some spotty showers at best. I do remember a few years ago there was (semi-tropical?) storm off NJ. It rained in the morning, but cleared for a beautiful afternoon/evening here in SE PA.

We can be thankful of that monster ridge in the western US forcing frequent northeastern troughs and preventing any lengthy heat waves, looks to continue for the next two weeks at least getting us past the mid point of the warm season.
