I've been fortunate to have some sort of rain pretty often...I think I only watered twice this year? Tomatoes, zucchini, peppers, kale etc...are growing out the wazoo. The only plant that has wilted a bit (but not horrible) was basil. Do an Indian rain dance around the garden...that may help. Temp down to 75.9F / DP 71F mod rain but ending shortly. ChescoWx
I am thinking the folks south of I76 will do quite nicely with rain...even just north of Turnpike WXSIM has 1.64" by 7am tomorrow...will still not be enough to get us in NW Chesco out of the dry conditions...as we stand at 2.60" below our normal YTD rain amounts here in NW Chesco....but if we can somehow get close to an inch of rain by tomorrow that will be of great help!! Tonight's showers should have better coverage for the area. I'm about 5 miles south of there and yes, since Thursday it's been pretty much a spectator event from here, a few drops yesterday and enough to wet the driveway (but not under the trees) on Thursday. Amazing how fast things dried out here in the last week with the heat. Just got 0.35" in a small shower that moved up from Delaware, with another batch on the way it appears, and this evening looks pretty active here and to the north...I'll turn off the sprinkler now. 76F, 73DP. Hurricane Agnes
Been watching a little cell traversing NE out of Delco that has be re-curving back around to the NW but looks like I may get brushed by the remnants of it as it comes up from the south. Had stratus (after the early light rain) all morning until just before noon and then self-destruct sun on and off the rest of the day. Only reached 82F as a high and currently 79F.
