I run out of attachment space with the number of images I post and I don't like to delete them as much because then if you go read old threads they are gone. But that mostly is for storm threads with radars and other stuff that's nice to preserve.

Right now I need to email them to myself and resize at that point. Pretty chilly morning here at Pit 2. Even Kevin would be wearing a shawl with the chilly breeze coming off the water. powderfreak
One of the cooler nights in awhile. Hit 48F out in the field at the local MVL station here. Some NNE ASOS: HIE...49F MVL...48F SLK...47F BML...47F Crazy how south of here by not much temps were mid-60s or higher at like CON/MHT latitude. You won't sniff 70F in Tolland. 12z GFS MOS has 68F at BDL and NAM MOS has 65F though the hourly data shows mostly mid-60s from both of them. NBC CT has 69F (just trying to cover your favorite sources). And that's for the warmest spot in the state. We should revisit tomorrow around this time. Have a feeling most of the rain slides along south coast and another flood for your area, with most of SNE caught in 7/10 split. If it doesn't brighten then no BDL likely won't get into the low 70's. Jerrys point about hp bring stronger giving us a nice sunny day also probably keeps best rains south and your area is right in path of the storm track with best forcing

Jerrys point about hp bring stronger giving us a nice sunny day also probably keeps best rains south and your area is right in path of the storm track Fair enough, that's a reasonable explanation and something for discussion. It does look like RH values on both GFS/NAM decrease by 21z or so...if you do see some dim sun in the valleys maybe they poke up to 70-71F but certainly outside of the deeper valley I think it won't matter. It'll depend on how low it is around 14-18z... if its sitting 64-65F I don't think brightening will do it but yeah if its 68F or something around this time tomorrow then I'd say some 4pm brightening might bump into low 70s. I think further south though (like south of HFD) would obviously be the best choice. BDL itself may be too far north. The next two days will be an abortion up here...I can't believe the models are showing another round of highs in the mid/upper 50s. Higher terrain is probably in the low 50s with upper 40s above inhabited elevations. My days off too...might try to hike but hiking in the rain/mist at 48-57F this time of year in the mountains isn't exactly inspiring.

dendrite
7/18-19/1873...CON had a back to back 59 and 57. I think that was with a max/min thermometer back then and not just a few obs per day, but don't hold me to that.
