It is a different feel than the upper 50s to low 60s with 100% RH and heavy rain we had a couple times in July. 63F here at the house with a couple brief sunny breaks starting to show up. Aside from the Thursday night rains, we just had some passing showers. I think Chris may have gotten a lot more as things parked just east of me for a while yesterday. Just E of Greenfield had torrential rain yesterday afternoon.
powderfreak
Just imagine what it would be like if that western Atlantic Ridge didn't flex and cause this massive eastern heat that was called for a couple weeks ago.

Sugarloaf1989
I was up to Mt Greylock with my son. It was 57F at the top and in the mid 60's in N Adams. It felt more like early October than early August.

ORH was 67F at noon and made it at least to 71F this afternoon...MPM probably a couple cooler? We were mid-60s most of the afternoon with NW flow clouds that have seemed to break up a bunch more recently and have shot up to 68F, so may hit 70F here anyway if the sun stays out for another hour. Funny how it is still early August so sunshine makes it tough to hold in the 60s. Sun comes out late afternoon for a bump up.

We actually got to 69.2. Spent much of the day in north central Mass (Ashburnham/Royalston). Temps were similar up that way per my car. 68.3 now. wxeyeNH
Hum, wagons south! Getting less optimist about any meaningful rain with this next system. About a 1/3 of an inch of rain for me over the past couple of weeks. Lawn starting to show a bit of brown. Can't complain compared to last summer at this time when my pond was bone dry. Please: As for rainfall amounts, this is tough. Convection in southeast MA and southern RI could be the focus of the highest rainfall totals. However, some models show a secondary maximum near the Berkshires and far NW MA.
