I'm almost in full NPZ mode now thinking less than a quarter inch for the whole period, and wouldn't be shocked at 0.00. Matter of fact, I'm going out to water the garden soon. I totally understand the pessimism for today through Sunday, although I think that Monday has a good chance at widespread storms.

Bob Chill
Campground is 100' above the river on a hill top so were all safe. I was wading before the rain hit. Great fishing but the river is going to be trashed after this. Lol

Jebman
The Infamous Drought Summer of 2017 continues. Mountains continue with plentiful rainfall, while piedmont and major cities like Washington continue with 70 plus dewpoints, hot sunshine and not a drop in sight. This summer will be characterized by marked mountain rains, frantic water rescues on I-81, and record heat, humidity and downright Death Valley like dryness east of the mountains well into the Winter of 2017-18. My lawn is turning brown. I wont need a mower this summer. DC residents will be TEASED to death by rains that are always waterboarding ppl in the mountains but that never reach Washington. I'll be tormented by record heat for months on end and no rain at all during my horrific HOT jebwalks, even in November.

Jebman
We had some extremely light rain tonight, but the only way I could measure it was to use my scanning electron microscope. Dry conditions should persist thru at least the next week, with some passing clouds. I can hardly wait for January 2018, because thats when I will finally get to see a good soaking rain in Dale City! BlizzardNole
I have a grand total of 0.05 for the month of June, and I'm not holding my breath for Monday (no, there is no chance of a drop today or tomorrow). There'll be a line on Monday, but Germandesert will find a gap in it. I haven't needed to to cut the grass for a while which is nice, but I have to water the cracked, parched gardens every three days.

I've been watering heavily every other day and hardly can keep up with the dryness. Looks like the sun is trying to come out right now. Hopefully that destabilizes things.
