DCA sets fakes records (sarcasm!). They get a random wind shift and spike like 5 degrees in an hour.
MN Transplant
Somebody is going to get a lot of rain on Wednesday as the backdoor front squeezes in. Localized, of course.

Eskimo Joe
Spending the day running antennas and fixing the weather station on our EOC. There's been a pleasant breeze so far which seems to mix out the humidity in the morning. Really this isn't terribly outside.

Eskimo Joe
I always think it's neat to watch the wind shift on the Base Velocity scan of LWX's radar, and today is a prime example of that. Notice how the wind field is shifting from NW to SSW over the past house (red echoes SW of DC turning to green). Like clockwork, the surface obs respond about an hour later as the winds are translated to the surface. That wind shift will definitely help DCA and IAD get warmer. Hopefully we don't cloud over.
