A piece of that record SW heat comes ENE for later next week. Warmest 850's of the season so far peaking over +20C just south of area. The only thing that may prevent another run at 100 near or just south of us could be clouds and potential convection. But we'll see how much sun we can get.

Ahead of that looks real nice wed-thu.  But agreed and would think almost certainly based off guidance clouds and showers will be plentiful.  Also ECM much deeper with trough 6/26-6/28-9ish.   GFS not as deep.  So that period will be interesting leading up to the 4th of July.

Had quite the shower with some heavy downpours, at times, over the past 90 minutes here in the Edison area.  Got about an inch of rain.  Radar looks pretty quiet behind that storm.  Hoping the 5-10 pm timeframe is dry to mostly dry, as we're having a downtown art/music festival in Metuchen (Junebug Artfest) this evening.  Looks like hopefully just a brief shower or two, unless we get unlucky and get one of the heavier showers that can always pop up in these localized mesoscale events.
